Question:
Ok I am going to ask a question that most of you won't like, I am just
saying this in advance to prepare you all for the hatred you will soon
feel!!
I once upon a year tried the cabbage onion celery quite rancid soup, I
believe that it is used as a way for hospital patients to lose weight before
important operations i.e. the heart and all that jazz. It worked for me in
fact I lost about a stone in a week and it stayed off, well until I ate shit
and put it back on again! it involved a 7 day plan with meals of fruit and
soup for the first 3 days then bananas, steak, fish, brown rice in the
remaining days, I believe it is called a Detox diet and flushes the crud out
of your system. I was thinking the other day the advantages of this diet
for people who wish to loose weight for maybe an upcoming event or a holiday
or something. Of course and I stress this my self as I have done it "ANYONE
WHO THINKS THEY CAN DO THIS FOR A WEEK AND AFTER THAT EATS LIKE THEY DID
BEFORE EITHER DRINKING BEER AND EATING AS MUCH SHIT THEY CAN STUFF INTO THEM
SELVES IS GOING TO PUT ALL THE FAT BACK IN A WEEK OR SO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!".
Lastly after the week I felt full of energy and in no way ill or weak in any
way
Ok but my question is, can a person such as my self who is successfully
dieting and knows the correct and healthy way to eat after they feel they
have lost enough weight make this system work for them?
On the off chance that any of you have done this diet before and made it
work and keep the fat off, could you please get in touch with me or leave a
post?
Ok lastly, I have used this diet before and found that the soup was too
coarse and that the stock didn't last as long as the veggie's. So I blended
up a bit of the soup down to a nice lentily consistency and found that it
tasted great and went down a hell of a lot better, in fact it resembled a
canned soup. But I was wondering if the soup has the same properties when
it is reduced to a pulp!!!!!!? I think that the fact the veggies
were so roughly chopped helped as the body couldn't digest them so it just
passed through the system without being touched, but will the blended soup
have the same affect, or will it make you gain weight?
I thank you for your time and please remember I don't really want to touch
this diet I am doing well on my normal diet, I just wanted to way up the
possibilities of such a plan!
Answer:
I think this "diet" is more like a witch medicine. Anybody with a
wicked imagination could come up with a stupid diet like this, because rapid
weight loss (more than 2 lbs/week) always involves dehydration. I could
come up, right off the bat, with 10 miracle diets just like that. Diets
that will make you lose 10 lbs in a week, or whatever rocks that is. Want
examples?
BANANA DIET
breakfast - 2 bananas
lunch - 2 bananas
diner - 2 bananas
lose 10 lbs in a week
TOMATO JUICE DIET
breakfast - 500 ml tomato juice
lunch - 1 tomato + 250 ml tomato juice
diner - 2 tomatoes + 250 ml tomato juice
lose 10 lbs in a week
COCA-COLA DIET
breakfast - 1 can of coca-cola
lunch - 1 can of coca-cola + 50 g. of vinegar flavoured chips
diner - 1 can of coca-cola + 3 Oreo cookies
lose 10 lbs in a week
CAMPBELL SOUP DIET
breakfast - 1 small can of any Campbell soup
lunch - 1 small can of any Campbell soup + 2 Premium Plus crackers
diner - 1 small can of any Campbell soup + 5 olives
lose 10 lbs in a week
Anything can work to lose 10 lbs in a week, the problem is: what am I gonna
do the week after? Weight loss is about having a long term plan, not a
short term solution that will imbalance your whole metabolism.
