Question:
I just started doing the detox...im on day 1. Everything has been fine
except the green drink. The one that im drinking is HORRIBLE. It takes
me about 30 minutes to prepare myself to drink it. It is really
disgusting and this is upsetting me. Do any of you know of another
green drink that is a little more tolerable to drink? im drinking
Perfect Food, the Super Green formula by Garden of Life and its really
disgusting. I would appreciate all of the feedback for this concern.

GNC has the ones that Dr. Roni recommends--Essential Greens and Veggie
Splash by the Garden Greens brand. they also have the Berry Splash,
which I think is the most delicious. I think they all are tasty
except the "natural" flavor, which I will probably throw away because
I cannot stand it--I even think Dr. Roni stopped carrying it on her
website probably because it tastes so gross. The flavored ones are
kind of sweet and salty at the same time--very yummy, although since I
am on day 17 I am craving a little more variety as I am sure you can
imagine!
I hope you get some answers because I'll be in the same
situation tomorrow.
I'll say a little prayer for you...you can do it...think of the good
your doing for your body!
I bought Delicious Greens 8000 and Delicious Berry 8000 online at the
Nokimis Nutrition.com site. Tastes FABULOUS and mixes great. Takes 2
seconds to put into the water and it completely mixes up, no blender
needed, though I do mix with ice in a blender and it's like a nice
slushy drink. NEITHER one tastes like grass, some of the others I have
tried taste like pond scum. I also have Perfect Food but used to mix
that with Yogurt, a banana, an orange, 1 cup of yogurt and a handful
of frozen fruit plus some agave and by that time I didn't even taste
it, so keep the Perfect Food greens for later when you can add yogurt.
Email me and I will give you the whole recipe for that yogurt smoothy,
it's fabulous and absolutely packed iwth powerful antioxidants and
good-for-you stuff (I add powdered vitamins, powdered vitamin C, DHEA,
etc, etc also). Hope this was helpful.
