Question:
I saw a TV commercial for Waismann rapid detox. I would like to know
what opinions are of this method and other methods of rapid detox.
What are the benefits and liabilities compared to standard narcotics
detox?
Answer:
Everyone I've ever heard of who has tried says it's an expensive, painful
rip-off . There's no such thing as a "painless detox" (not really) and most
of these places are purely interested in the money. Ive known people to cut
out the implants themselves or be immediately admitted to hospital in
terrible states after these courses. I've heard of only one or two people
who got through the process and managed to struggle on without further (or
emergency) medical treatment but I have no idea if they stayed straight. The
figures they give for "cures" are absolute nonsense. Long term I'd think it
probably has a higher failure rate than almost any other method. A number of
clinics have been closed for mismanagement and incompetence, people have
died and these companies are under investigation by various medical groups .
Mostly its an expensive con. You dont go in as a shooter come out clean and
with no desire to shoot again that's just nonsense. Naltrexone (or is it
naloxone?) doesn't block the urge to get stoned it just stops you doing it
or forces you to override it. Most people I've seen on the implants were
wobbling worse than they would if they were straight , as it seems to block
some of your bodies own pain killing systems too. But tidefintly doesnt
block the urge to get stoned despit what they say. I've heard nothing but
horror stories about these places and this particular treatment. The
overwhelming consensus here over the years has been to avoid it like the
plague!. This sort of idea that they promote were you go in as a using
junkie come out a week later after a few days sleep full of health and
energy and are ready to start a job is just ridiculous!. From what Ive seen
and heard you are lucky if you can crawl to the car.
I am not familiar with this Waismann, however I have read of opiate
addicts that die in those transfusion type detoxes that are supposedly
very difficult on the body.
