Question:
I have annoyingly mild acne. I have opted to change my diet to see if that
is the cause of it. Obviously changing a diet is very difficult, so I want
to know how long can I expect to wait before I see the results if they were
linked. I mostly want to know because if I gain no benefit from altering the
way I eat, then I want to get back to it
Answer:
You're right, changing your diet is very diffiuclt. But it is the very best
thing I've ever done for myself. My health improved so much and along with
that came better skin. Some people report seeing changes in their skin
immediately. But I believe it really matters on what you're getting out of
your body. For me, I had a lot of toxins to detox. It took me a few months
to see the changes in my skin but it was really worth it.
My original diet was mostly white rice and steamed veggies with some fatty
meats thrown in. I also ate a lot of salads. No sodas or snacks but I love
ice cream and chocolate.
I changed to a raw food diet of raw fruits and raw veggies. Not 100% raw as
I will still eat bread when I want to. I lost close to 50 pounds, my
work-outs improved, my skin cleared up, I was able to get off of one of my
thyroid medications, my stomach problems all went away, my debilitating
allergies went away and my food allergies went away. Oh, and my blood
pressure rose to normal. I went from spending $75 a month on prescription
meds to spending just what my one thyroid med costs me. This is what worked
for me.
