Question:
It's been more than twenty four hours since my last Diet Coke.
I am incredibly silly, so I emphasize you. My tropical liaison won't improve before I say it
Answer:
I think it's just awesome you're giving up the evil stuff.
I don't think I posted before to the artificial sweetener threads, but
I discovered that they make me dizzy. I was sucking up diet peach
snapples. I have a dizzy condition anyway, so random dizzy isn't
really cause for alarm in me. But it stretched out over days and it
wasn't quite like my condition, so as an experiment, I stopped. Got
un-dizzy. :P I LIKE the diet peach.
I lost 10 pounds, I kid you not, in 6 days (a week ago). I'm doing the
Fast Track One Day DeTox Diet (by Anne Louise Gittleman). Got the book
on sale at Tower for about $17.
She's a nutritionist and I knew her from a previous book (about, ugh,
parasites). She really makes a lot of sense. Her book just previous
to this one was called The Fat Flush Plan. It seems too complicated
for me.
This one isn't actually a one day, it's seven days of 'prequel' eating,
and then the fast (special juice and water) and then three days of
'sequel'.
I was going on vacation (went to Oregon to step dad's wedding) so I
only did the prequel. I started on a Sunday. Monday, walking into
work, I actually could tell that I felt better. By Wednesday, my hips
didn't hurt. Friday morning I went to the chiropractor. He has a
scale (I don't own one). I was so excited I could hardly stand it.
But more important to me was the fact that my overalls are BAGGY again!
They're SUPPOSED to be baggy, right?
It's all organic (which is really not that hard) and it's foods that
support the health of your liver and your colon. I have some emotional
craving for stuff, but no physical cravings. I'm just blown away by
the whole thing. I've never been one to do whatever the latest diet
is. So, this is all new for me.
Sorry, didn't mean to write quite so much. I just haven't been here in
a while, and it's nice to have something to say that's not a whine or a
complaint.
