Question:
I get unwanted sideeffects from bubrenorphine, like migranish
headaches and nausea, so I thought I´d try an at home methadone detox.
Methadone is very difficult to obtain here in Finland, but I think it
could be arranged. But I have no clue how much to ask for? I was
planning a 21 day detox where I´d slowly diminish the dosage with the
hope of getting sick as little as possible. How much do I need for the
whole 3 weeks? My heroin tolerance is about a gram a day( if this
sorry excuse for h can even be called that that we get here
nowdays...) and I´ve been usin for about 3 years. I´m quite skinny(
don´t know wether that affects the dosage).How much do I need for the
whole 3 weeks, and how should I start diminishin the dosage? I really
need u´r help asap, cause I have to know how much to ask for
preferably today, so if there´s anybody out ther who could help,
please do! I´m getting desperate here.
Answer:
I get those exact same migrains from bup ....... Its more a pressure behind
the eyes.....
Bup does precipitate withdrawl, I was on 15 mgs methadone, transfered onto
bup
after a 3 day wait..... It was pretty uncomfortable for the first week I
suppose.
But as for the migrain, its was bad with subutex, so I reduced to 2 mg, and
went onto the Temgesic.
3 temgesic over the day work very well, with no headach or nausea..... 2mg
subutex is the same as 10
temgesic.... The subutex does were too high for me, I thought I had brain
cancer for the first couple of months.
I'd really try a low bup dose, before the methadone, because detoxing from
the done will be much worse than the problem you have now.....
