Question:
Has anyone tried the lemonade fast? It is for cleansing the digestive tract
and consists of eating/drinking nothing but lemonade--a gallon or so each
day, for days at a time.
You don't even take vitamins on this fast, but you can take bentonite and
psyllium and salt water (oral route) enemas.
The lemonade is made of fresh (organic?) lemon juice (not bottled), grade B
(or C?) Maple Syrup, and clean water.
Supposedly the lemonade helps you maintain energy and reduces cravings while
fasting. It may have other detox properties too.
Is it necessary to take anti-parasite herbs while on this fast?
How many days can an elderly person stay on this fast?
Answer:
This is the silliest diet I have seen in a long time.Maybe thats why the
beginning of the word diet is "die".
I could go into why this is such a bad idea but I will leave that job to
someone who knows how to put it much better than I.
I cannot beleive that some people think doing such things to their baodies will
make them healthier.
Just my $.02
I have done this fast for only a day at a time, I do not have what it
takes to do it long term. I usually use it if I feel run down and with
illness coming on. It was my herbalist who suggested it to me for when
I had a cold that would not go away. She had me drink 4 oz. every
hour. She stated that the vitamins in the lemon (must be fresh picked)
and the minerals in the Grade B Maple Syrup could sustain a person for
up to 40 days. I have noticed that the drink really tastes good when I
need it.
