Question:
This is day 5 and I have lost almost nine pounds...and, weirdly
enough, therein lies the problem. I am a touch anxious about all of
this effort on weight that can never stay off. I am not being a
naysayer but I am wondering if any of you out there are past the 21
days and into maintenance and are still (a) losing or (b) maintaining
your loss. I mean, I am certainly not complaining about the weight
loss but anyone who has dieted has been told again and again that
weight that comes off too quickly never stays off and 9 pounds is a
huge amount of weight to lose in 5 days! Any thoughts or experiences
would be greatly appreciated.
Answer:
I have the same worries as Theresa and would love to hear from people
who are on the maintainence program. I am 25 pounds overweight, and
can lose 10 pounds pretty quickly and always gain it back. The other
15, I can never seem to lose. I am doing this to be healthier and
clean out my body and intend to eat more natural foods when I'm done.
But I do worry that it will all come back on once I start eating more
calories down the road.
I am only on my second day of the maintenance and am still losing
weight! I woke up this morning and lost another 1/2 pound. Believe me,
I will keep you all posted as the days go by. I really think not
gaining the weight back will not be too difficult. I have already
bought a book "five factor fitness" which I plan to follow as soon as
the maintenance phase of this is over. Its all about eating good foods
througout the day (5 times)(good proteins, fats, carbs, etc) and I
believe that it will be SO easy to follow after the detox diet. I will
not have to wean myself off of junk foods or sugary concoctions.. just
eat well and feed my body what it needs. The book also has a pretty
cool fitness routine that seems pretty easy.. 25 minutes a day. I will
let you all know how it goes.. I am determined NOT to gain this weight
back! I love the way I look and feel and I worked hard for 21 days to
get it!
